Football Prediction 2023: After suffering a foot injury, Brazil’s Neymar is doubtful for the Seoul friendly.

After hurting his foot during training on the night of the game, Brazil superstar Neymar could miss his team’s friendly match against South Korea on Thursday. After clashing with a teammate during the training at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday, Neymar grasped his right foot and collapsed to the ground. A trainer swiftly responded to him and he limped off the field, but he did not return. Team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar indicated during a pre-match press conference that Neymar’s right foot had enlarged and that it was too early to judge his status for Thursday’s encounter.

“Until tomorrow morning, we’ll have to keep an eye on his foot,” the doctor added through an interpreter.

“It’s tough to predict with certainty if he’ll be able to play right now. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out.”

A history of right-foot injuries has “traumatised” Neymar, according to Lasmar.

On Instagram, Neymar shared a photo of his damaged foot, which showed substantial swelling.

Brazil coach Tite was already dealing with some difficult selection decisions prior to this latest setback.

While Neymar and the rest of the team arrived in South Korea last week, six Real Madrid and Liverpool players arrived just three days later, three days after their Champions League final in Paris.

“Given their physical condition and the distance they’ve travelled, it’s definitely best to play them in later games (rather than Thursday),” Tite said at the press conference. “However, everyone is excited to play.”

South Korea, which has been coached by Paulo Bento for over four years, is “fully prepared” for the World Cup, according to Tite.

He singled out Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min for praise after he shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

“Whether it’s his skill, stamina, or mental toughness,” Tite added, “he’s a terrific player.” “The fact that he won the Golden Boot this year is no coincidence.”

Tite stated that he views Thursday’s encounter as part of his team’s preparation for the World Cup, and that he expects more than simply a win from them.

“I’d like to see how our players perform in an away match and set a benchmark for ourselves,” Tite stated.
