Harbhajan endorsed Jadeja to replace Rohit Sharma in ODI cricket as well, pointing out that the Chennai Super Kings player is one of the first names on the squad sheet across all formats of the game.

As KL Rahul was removed from the position due to his underwhelming performance in the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India has not nominated a vice-captain for the next two matches. “I think the vice-captaincy now should be given to Jadeja”: Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh, a former spinner for India, claimed on Saturday that Ravindra Jadeja would be the best vice-captain for India in Test cricket and that giving him the position would only make him feel more responsible. Harbhajan Singh claimed that Jadeja is undoubtedly the best all-rounder in recent years in whites and that his consistency with both the bat and the ball should be recognized because Rahul’s spot in the Eleven is once again in doubt.
“India doesn’t have a vice-captain. Who can be your next vice-captain? I believe that a player who is captain or vice-captain should be a definite starter in the XI, regardless of whether you play in India or abroad,” Harbhajan asked in his YouTube show.
“Ravindra Jadeja, I believe, is that type of player. Jadeja should be handed the vice-captaincy immediately since it will offer him greater responsibilities. He’s been playing exceptionally well. He has been a senior player for a long time. He is at the pinnacle of his batting and bowling powers,” Harbhajan Singh said.
“I don’t believe there is a better all-rounder in the world than Ravindra Jadeja. Ben Stokes is at that level, and he is also a match-winner. If you look at his success, I believe his batting has clicked. “He should be named vice-captain in Tests. He’ll be able to get it in ODIs. This is my opinion,” Harbhajan Singh continued.
Jadeja has had a successful comeback, taking 17 wickets in the first two Test matches, including a five-wicket haul. Moreover, the all-rounder has 96 runs in 2 games after contributing with significant lower-order hits.
