IND vs AUS: Watch- Laughter Riot On The Field As Virat Kohli Instructs Ravichandran Ashwin In Hindi, Usman Khawaja Acknowledges

India takes on Australia in the second match of the four-match series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, February 17. Team India won the first match by an innings and 132 run margin, giving them a 1-0 unassailable lead in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023. The second match is crucial for the Rohit Sharma-led team to qualify for the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Australia won the toss in the second match and opted to bat first. The Pat Cummins-led side made two changes to their line-up as Matt Renshaw and Scott Boland were replaced by Travis Head and Matthew Kuhnemann. India made one change as Shreyas Iyer came into the playing XI after recovering from a back injury in place of Suryakumar Yadav, who made his Test debut in the last match.

The Australians got off to a good start with a 50-run partnership from openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja. Pacer Mohammed Shami provided the first break for the Rohit Sharma-led team as he removed Warner for 15 runs, who looked shaky from the start of his innings against Indian bowlers.

The veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed the Australians’ two best batters, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, in the span of three balls just before the lunch break. The Australian vice-captain, who looked solid in the first match, was dismissed for a duck as he edged the ball into wicketkeeper KS Bharat’s gloves.

Usman Khawaja, who was dismissed for low scores in the first Test in Nagpur, scored a half-century on the first day of the ongoing Test match. He scored 68 runs and successfully tackled Ravichandran Ashwin, who had a brilliant record against left-handed batters.
