Kingsley Coman is a professional footballer from France. He was born in Paris, France, on June 13, 1996. He is now playing for Bayern Munich and the France national team, primarily as a striker and winger.
Background
He began his football career in 2002, at the age of six, with the football club US Sénart-Moissy. He spent two years there under his father’s supervision.
Debut
Coman began his career with France U16 in 2011, going goalless in nine games, before moving to France U17 in 2012, where he scored three goals in eight games. In 2013, he made his France U18 debut, scoring one goal in six games. In 2013, he made his France U19 debut, scoring two goals in seven games.
Coman made his debut debut for the French under-21 squad on June 2, 2014, in a 6–0 friendly triumph against Singapore. He even scored one of the game’s goals.
On November 5, 2015, Coman was named to France’s senior team for friendlies against Germany and England. He made his debut on November 13, 2015, in a 2–0 victory against world champions Germany at the Stade de France.
Rise to glory
Coman scored his first international goal on March 29, 2015, in the opening encounter against Russia, which was set up by Dimitri Payet and resulted in a 4–2 victory.
He was nominated for the Young Player of the Competition Award after his achievements in the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, when his country reached the final but lost 1–0 to Portugal.
Club career
Coman began his career at the junior school of Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain in 2004. Coman made his senior debut for the club on February 17, 2013, against Sochaux, after spending nine years in the club’s junior category. He was the youngest player ever to play for PSG at the time.
Then, on July 7, 2014, Coman switched from PSG to Juventus and signed a five-year contract with the Italian champions. On August 30, 2014, he made his Serie A debut against Chievo in a 1–0 away win.
On 15 January 2015, he scored his first professional goal in the Coppa Italia’s final 16 match against Hellas Verona, propelling his side to a 6–1 victory.
Coman was loaned to Bayern Munich on a two-year, €7 million deal on August 30, 2015. He made his Allianz Arena debut on September 12, 2015, in a 2–1 win over FC Augsburg. He scored his first goal for the club in a 3–0 win over Darmstadt 98 a week later.
