MARRIED At First Sight’s Gemma has hit out at producers for how she was depicted in the show after her sense of humour divided Brits.
The star was the subject of controversy after her husband, Matt Murray, accused her of touching herself inappropriately in a restaurant, something she strongly denies.
MAFS‘ Gemma Rose took to Instagram to reveal her side of the story, and how the show was edited to make her look “villainous”, saying: “Have we learnt anything from Love Island. False versions of serious situations and changing the storyline so dramatically …RUINS LIVES.”
One fan tweeted: “Gemma Rose is showing light on how the show works on her Instagram stories. It’s basically a different version of Jeremy Kyle, edited lies, cruelty, luck of any humanity to the highest degree. Sickening. #MAFSUK.”
Channel 4 have issued a statement, saying: “Married at First Sight UK episodes are carefully put together so that, while we cannot show every moment of scenes that can take hours to film, we ensure that what we do broadcast is a fair and accurate reflection of the events that unfolded.

The ex Married at First Sight bride accused Richie of throwing her “under the bus”.
She told The Sun: “When the cameras were off, Richie kept to himself and wasn’t as enthusiastic or caring, he didn’t ask much about me except for when they were filming.
“I wish there were cameras everywhere filming all the time because Richie was very good at making sure his mask didn’t slip.
“If the show was more like Love Island, viewers would have been able to get a more honest view and things wouldn’t have been hidden.”
“How can you make a relationship work if someone’s performing? I was there for realness and he wanted to come off looking fantastic.”

Broadcaster Channel 4 has denied any wrongdoing over ‘unacceptable’ editing
Bride Gemma accused the show of poor “editing” and “painting” her in a bad light.
Channel 4 have released a statement in response to Gemma’s claims, it reads: “Married at First Sight UK episodes are carefully put together so that, while we cannot show every moment of scenes that can take hours to film, we ensure that what we do broadcast is a fair and accurate reflection of the events that unfolded.”

MAFS’s Lara Eyre revealed to The Sun she has been overwhelmed with kindness since she left the show.
The star added: “Someone said, ‘You the only reason I watch Married At First Sight in jail’.
“This is exactly the type of guy who would message me, someone in jail with nothing to lose who was wackadoo.
“I must have some vibe I give off, I don’t know how I haven’t dated a serial killer yet or someone who wants to wear me as a hat.”

The bride opened up about being branded a “cry baby” by fans, and hit back by saying there’s nothing wrong with letting emotions out.
She told her fans on Instagram: “The traumas that have been brought on from this show have made me re-evaluate things.
“I really have and I’m not ashamed to admit this, I have been seeing a therapist ever since.
“They have helped me overcome a lot from the show and I am grateful for that.”

Lara Eyre, former Married at First Sight bride, has finally revealed who her famous ex boyfriend was.
She left the show last week after failing to connect with her husband Richie Dews.
“I may have dated someone from Sons Of Anarchy,” she explained during an Instagram Q&A.
“It’s Charlie Hunnam. I dated Charlie Hunnam for a while, he was lovely and I’ve always had a soft spot for him,” Lara revealed.

Digital Spy reports that she took to social media to say: “I didn’t realise things would be cropped out to the extent that they have been to make it look like things are one-sided…

Source claims two MAFS stars cheated while filming the show
A source has reported that both Whitney and Matt cheated on their partners while filming the hit show.
“Whitney and Matt truly shocked the other members of the cast by cheating on their partners – not only because of the hurt it caused but the circumstances too,” the source said.
“The pairs had gone away to a couples retreat and were there to focus on their relationships, but Whitney and Matt had other ideas.”

Matt hits back at cheating rumours
MAFS’s Matt has responded to claims he cheated on wife Gemma during the filming of the show.
He said: “There was no cheating, there was no betrayal. Me and Gemma had not been together for seven days, and we’d been apart more than we’d ever been together.
“Which is a bit s****y because it kind of ruins the series a bit, doesn’t it? But yeah, we weren’t even talking.
“Specifically after the episodes this week – so before we go to the getaway, I had specifically asked production to go home.”
Matt added: “I didn’t want to be here anymore and I had bigger things to deal with back at home than me trying to make something work and I was asked to stay until the next commitment ceremony, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to the audience.”
