Nabil Fekir is a professional footballer from Lyon, France, who was born on July 18, 1993. He is a member of the French national team and the Ligue 1 club Lyon.

Background
In the 2000-01 season, he began his youth career with AC Villeurbanne. Up until 2005, he worked in Vaulx-en-Velin and SC Caluire. He suddenly received the opportunity he had been waiting for. In 2005, he was given the opportunity to play for Lyon. Due to his poor performance, he was sent to Vaulx-en-Velin and later to Saint-Priest. In 2011, he was given another chance to play for his favourite team, Lyon.
Debut
Nabil made his international debut with the under squad against Sweden on October 15, 2014. In the 75th minute, he came on for Corentin Tolisso and played for 15 minutes. The match ended in a 4-1 victory for Sweden. He only appeared in one match for France U21.
On March 26, 2015, he made his senior international debut against Brazil at Stade de France. For the final 16 minutes of the game, he came onto the field. The game ended in a 3-1 victory for Brazil. Fekir scored his first goal for France against Belgium at home on June 7, 2015. That friendly encounter ended in a 3-4 defeat for France.
Nabil went on to play 10 matches for France, scoring one goal in the process.
Club career
From 2011 until 2016, he was a member of the Lyon B team. He made 63 games and scored 13 goals in those five years.
On August 28, 2013, he made his Olympique Lyon debut against Real Sociedad. He came in in the second half, but Lyon were defeated 2-0. On April 27, 2014, he scored his first goal for the club against Bastia. The match ended in a 4-1 victory for Lyon.
Nabil has scored 55 goals in 147 appearances with Lyon. He’s also credited with 35 assists.
Records
In 2014-15, Fekir was named UNFP Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year, and in October 2017, he was named UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Month. He was also a member of the 2014-15 UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
