Who has won the most Portugal Primeira Liga titles?
The Primeira Liga is in its 87th season, but the championship has only been won by five different teams in its history. The big three of Portuguese football, Porto, Benfica, and Sporting Lisbon, have all won titles in the past, while Belenenses and Boavista have each won one.
Benfica set a new milestone by winning the Portuguese Primeira Liga for the 37th time in 2018/19, while Porto has 28 titles and Sporting Lisbon has 22 after not winning the league since 2001/02.
